Joe Lee Gilmore, 81, of Bryan passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Encompass Health and Rehab.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, March 16, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm with a rosary service at 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Joe was born July 21, 1941 in Bryan the son of Henry and Katie (Fazzino) Gilmore. He worked for Court Saddlery, and was a leather craftsman. He made saddles for several celebrities including George Strait. Joe also enjoyed woodworking and made several home furnishing pieces. He was a longtime member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Katherine Gomez.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Gilmore; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Sent from my iPad
