The Lord has taken another angel. Nelda June Cochrane Pelton of Montgomery, Texas passed away in Conroe, Texas on Friday, September 3, 2010. Nelda was born on November 14, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas to Harold H. Luster and Mary Green Luster. who precede her in death, along with a daughter, Randy Kay Glass. She is survived by her husband, Richard Pelton; son, Bart Criswell & wife, Holly; granddaughters, Rayven Criswell and Ryleigh Criswell; grandson, James Glass; sister, Sue Russell & husband Marvin; brothers, Harold Â"EddieÂ" Luster & wife Joan, Glenn Luster & wife Mary; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Nelda was the founder of Houston First Insurance Associates, which she proudly owned for 21 years. She was an extremely active member of the Greenspoint Chamber of Commerce. Nelda graduated from Hearne High School with the class of 1961, and was baptized at Bethany Baptist Church in Hearne, Texas in 1958. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 6th, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations be made in her memory at Amegy Bank in Montgomery, Texas, Account #53228355. You may make donations at any of the Amegy Bank locations. All donations will go toward cancer research.
