Darby Lee Meier, 71, of Bryan, passed away Saturday May 10, 2014 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, May 13, at Central Baptist Church. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, also at Central Baptist Church, with interment at Steep Hollow Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory in Bryan.
Darby was born July 14, 1942 in Burton, Texas, to Herman and Ella Meier. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and his favorite hobby was fishing. Darby was the owner of the Villa Maria Barber Shop, as he was a barber for 46 years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many.
Survivors include his loving wife Pamela Meier of Bryan; daughter Kimberly Weiser and husband Doug of Bryan; sisters, Guydene Moon and husband Ronnie of Amarillo, and Lois Coneley of Carlos; and four grandchildren, Cody Meier, Courtney Meier, Keaton Weiser, and Sam Weiser.
