Ralph was born on January 26, 1942, in Gause, Texas to Jewell and Emma Morgan and was the 8th of 9 children. He was baptized at the age of 12 years old at College Avenue Baptist Church of Bryan, now Central Church of Bryan/College Station. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1960. While at a “street dance” in 1960, Ralph met his beautiful Italian wife Leona Ann Grizzaffi and it was “Love at first sight.” They recently celebrated with family, their 60th wedding anniversary. In his early twenties, Ralph proudly worked for Shell Oil, surveying land where he made lifelong friends. In 1968, Ralph started his own business, Ralph Morgan Custom Homes. He had a stellar reputation for his top quality custom homes. When you walked into a Ralph Morgan Custom Home, you would immediately see the detail, quality and uniqueness. He was a master craftsman that created dream homes. He built custom homes over 42 years in Bryan/College Station, and also proudly built custom homes with his son Keith Morgan in Sugar Land, Bellaire, The Woodlands and Montgomery. Ralph loved to play golf with his golf buddies and loved hitting the dance floor with Leona, fishing and hunting with his Dad, son Keith and grandsons Ty and Kyle. He enjoyed visiting with his lifelong friends and especially loved getting to be a father figure and Pop to his granddaughter, Gia who put the sparkle in his eye. Gia loved her Pop more than words can express. Most of all Ralph loved the Lord and his family. He exemplified life as a Christian in how he lived his life. In how he treated others, his morals and values, his love and respect for others and his deep unwavering love for his family and most importantly, his love for Jesus Christ. His favorite role in life was being “Pop” to his 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who all brought him so much happiness and always a big smile to his face. He would always try to attend every sports event or theater performance of his kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and nephews. He was very proud of all of them. He would always make sure all of the kids knew how much he loved them and gave them as much love, hugs and kisses as possible. They all loved and adored their Pop. He was such a great role model for the Morgan family. Ralph is preceded in death by his beloved parents Jewell Howard Morgan and Emma Rosalie (Lehnert) Morgan; his father-in law Charley Grizzaffi, his mother-in-law, Laura (Cemino) Grizzaffi; brothers Jewell Morgan Jr., Thomas Morgan, Arnold Morgan and Melvin Morgan; his sister Wanda (Morgan) Lawrence; brother-in-laws Larry Lawrence, Dalton Rice, Ronald Fontenot, Leroy Villines; sister-in-laws Phyllis (Grizzaffi) Fontenot, Sandi Morgan, and Daisy Morgan. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Leona Ann (Grizzaffi) Morgan of Bryan; sisters Norma “Sis” Rice and Anna Villines of Bryan; brother Raymond Morgan of College Station; sister-in-law Winell Morgan; daughter Lea Ann (Morgan)Tate and husband Tracy; son, Keith Everett Morgan and daughter Kristi Morgan; grandchildren Tyler Robert Gideon and wife Kelly, Kyle Morgan Gideon and wife Casey, and his only granddaughter Gia Laura Jewel Morgan (his “Sweet Pea”) Megan (Tate) Upchurch and husband Ryan, Travis Tate and wife Michaela all of College Station; great-grandchildren Cooper Everett, Jax Morgan, Cameron Elizabeth and Graham Ray, Rose Lynn; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Callaway-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of services which will be Wednesday, January 25th, 2:00PM at Central Church on Boonville Rd in Bryan.
