Dorothy Nell Ryan - Todd received her angel wings on December 5, 2018, during the evening hours at her home surrounded by her family.
Born on August 31, 1943, to Eddie Warren Ryan and Mary Nell, Dorothy Nell Ryan - Todd received her angel wings on December 5, 2018, during the evening hours at her home surrounded by her family. This Beautiful Soul was raised in Bryan, Texas, where she graduated from Bryan High School in 1961. She married the love of her life, John Wayne Todd in August of 1962, and they shared a life together of 56 years. It was during their lifetime commitment they raised two sons Jason Dee Todd and Hoyt Wayne Todd.
Dorothy was an Executive Assistant for Verizon for over 20 years. After retiring from Verizon, Dorothy and John Wayne left the DFW metroplex where they chose the perfect country retirement home in Rockdale, Texas. Dorothy and John enjoyed their days of shopping, gardening and eating at local restaurants.
Dorothy is survived by loving her husband John Wayne, her two sons Jason and Hoyt, her brother Eddie T. Ryan and sister in law Sue Ryan of Steephollow, Texas. Her grandchildren Madison Todd, Kaleb Todd and Brant Todd and numerous friends and family. Dorothy was a wonderful and kind woman, who was loved by all that met her.
The family will Celebrate Dorothy’s Life by sharing cherished life memories around the family table. They encourage Dorothy’s friends to participate by doing the same on a regular basis with their families and friends.
