Ellen S. Rasmussen, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 23, 2013 in Atwater, California. Ellen was born in Nevada City, California to Elkanah R. "Jim" and M. Laverne Furr Stoddard on March 20, 1943, she spent much of her childhood in California, Texas and Tennessee, she married Charles Parker in Oak Ridge Tennessee later divorcing, after which she married the love of her life and best friend Gordon DeVern Rasmussen.
Ellen was a true one of a kind, her zest for life an genuine love for friends and family, kept her family united, drove conversations around the dinner table, sustained a loving marriage and provided everyone lasting memories of the perfect Christmas, amazing birthdays, fantastic food and family time that will never be forgotten. Ellen is succeeded in life by her Husband: Gordon; Children: Larry, Angela (John), Charles Jr.; Stepchildren Scott (Karalene), Trudi (Mike), Sister: June, twelve Grandchildren, four Great Grandchildren and a large loving family.
The funeral services will be held at the Winton LDS Church 11am, Friday, June 28, 2013, prior to the services a public viewing will be held from 10-10:45am.
