Delores' mother and my mother shared a hospital room shortly before their final illnesses in 2007.  Delores and I enjoyed catching up at that time, and my mother was thrilled when Delores told her she had been one of her favorite teachers.

I had no idea that Delores herself had passed away.

Delores always looked forward to our monthly girls' luncheons and we so enjoyed seeing her each time.  We were totally shocked when she missed a luncheon and we found out the next morning she had passed away.  It's really ironic that The Memory Book at our Forty-Fifth Reunion was done by Delores.  We miss her so very much.  RIP, Delores.

I had many classes with Delores and remember her as such a sweet girl and always had a warm, friendly smile on her face.  So sorry to hear about her passing.

Very ironically, dear Delores ré-entered my life in 2021, in the persons of two nephews! Guyton Construction contracted to renovate part of my home in Anderson (built 125 years ago) , and since Delores was the only Guyton I knew, I asked if they were related. She was their Aunt!!! So from then on, the contractor David Guyton and I became good friends and I think he's a brilliant contractor!! He said Delores had a big effect on how he grew up learning to behave! She was truly one of the sweetest and kindest girls I knew.
