Louise was one of my best friends in high school. We went to the same church. She lived not far off College Avenue and I remember some car trips circling the drive-in. I also remember spending some Sunday afternoons in her home and that we ate, and adored, mustard-pickle sandwiches! ;) After her death in a car accident, my mother spoke often with Louise's mom by phone and at church about Louise. Later, when I visited Bryan, I would go by her mom's house as well, to visit and talk. Her mom was pretty devastated by her daughter's death at such an early age. I don't know what happened to her younger sister, Evelyn, but she might remember those pickle-mustard sandwiches! I still have one occasionally, and always remember Louise when I do.
How sweet of you to post your memories of Louise. She married Jerry Nevill, from my Class of '62 and they lived in Houston and were neighbors of my brother and sister in law at that time.
Louise's dad and my dad were very good friends and were in business in downtown Bryan across the street from each other. Mr. Muzny, was a sweet man. I did not get to know Mrs. Muzny, however. I sumize from your comments, she was a lovely lady, as well.
Her sister married Billy Powers, from the Class of '60 and I think they still live in Austin.
Thank you all for all your comments, too! I'll surely visit Austin and Texas yearly (avoiding hot summers, though). Next visit more or less scheduled for March 2015. Maybe I can look up Evelyn Muzny Powers. I had no idea she lived in Austin.

And in the "very small world" area, Evelyn Powers was my grandson Zach Griffin's first grade teacher in Austin and was WONDERFUL!!
