When I Got out of SFA I went to work at the old Joe L Ward Auto Parts Company on 25th St. When I turned 25 I was promoted to General Manager and moved to Waco There I met and Married Mary Eugenia Provence when I was 32. We had no Children together, but She had a son Gregory King McCown age 12 when we married. Both are deceased Now. Eugenia was a Tall, Elegant Beautiful Woman. I first saw her, she was being interviewed on TV while she was attending the JFK. Inaguration I remember How Beautiful she was and I never thought that one day we would be Married. And move to Austin and work selling Auto Paint and Body Shop Supplies for Wayne Bull Auto Parts and later as Sales Rep for Sherwin-Williams Covering a Territory That Included Most of New Mexico West Texas all the way to Bryan. After Sherwin-Williams I worked at Builders Square and Home Depot Until Retiring at 66 And Back Home to Bryan

Now after retirement I spend my time researching & Writing My Family History, a project I started over 40 years ago and Hope someone in the Family appreciates all the years of work. They came from Scotland, Galicia Provence Spain, Mexico, England, Switzerland & Germany
One of the highlights of this research came when I became a Vice President of Clan Fergusson Of North America.
My gg Grand Father Joseph Ferguson settled on the Navasota River in 1832.
He was almost 50 at the time and Just Married his 3rd wife who was just 20
My Grt Grand Mother was born when he was 74 and his last & 23rd Child.
Another Interesting History of my Family, My Gomez Grand Parents
Relocated here in Bryan in1915 After fleeing Guadalajara When Poncho
Villa attacked Guadalajara and He witnessed Villa ordering the execution
of the Priest at the San Jose of Analco Church which was next door to his home. Grand Daddy told Grand Mother he could not live any where
someone would shoot his Priest. Also that same Year General Pershing invaded Mexico under
the excuse of Chasing Villa which was a ruse to start a War with Mexico
so Standard Oil would continue to Pump Mexico's Oil and never Pay Mexico on cent. He was supposed to start a open war and then the US
could annex all of Northern Border States into the United States for
the Oil. But My GG Uncle General Moncolvio Garcia of the Mexican Army
Faced General Pershing as he was entering Saltillo Mexico
My Uncle with 6,000 Mexican Troops under his Command forced the American Army under Command of Gen. Black Jack Pershing to retreat
back to Fort Bliss and Never again entered Mexico. My Uncle Monclovio
remained in the Army until the National Election in 1932 and he retired
to San Diego Cal. Where he lived out his life sitting on his front Porch
Telling Stories.

What I have learned is just how lucky we all are and connected we all are
thru Out History.
